Connie starts by making her own plaster molds, then uses recycled paper grocery bags to make the base of her papier mache masks. Each is then decorated with fabric, glitter, beads and other embellishments to create the beautiful masks you see here. Her masks are fully lined with velour, making them very comfortable to wear. Connie has traveled to New Orleans to sell her masks at the Mardi Gras Mask Market for the last 13 years. Her masks have been displayed in the Hillsboro Argus, seen in the Oregonian, shown in the Mardi Gras Guide and featured in numerous society pages. Her masks have been worn by the Portland Trailblazers dancers and also seen on the OPB show "Oregon Art Beat." Her creations have popped up in beauty pageants, black-tie fundraisers, weddings, masquerade balls and many Halloween parties all over the country and Puerto Rico.
